President Asif Ali Zardari Suffers Leg Fracture at Dubai Airport

Former President Asif Ali Zardari fractured his foot while stepping off a plane at Dubai Airport last night, according to a spokesperson from the President’s House. He was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment, where doctors applied a cast to his foot. Zardari will need to keep the cast on for about four weeks, and he has been advised to rest at home.

At age 69, Zardari has had multiple health issues over the past few years. Just this past March, he underwent surgery for an eye condition, and in 2022, he was treated in the hospital for a chest infection. These health concerns follow a pattern, as Zardari has also been hospitalized in the past due to exhaustion, mainly from extensive travel and busy routines.

This recent injury adds to his ongoing health challenges, and medical professionals are taking precautions to ensure his recovery. With the cast in place and under strict medical advice, Zardari is expected to take a break from his usual activities to focus on healing. His family and party members are hopeful for a smooth recovery during this period of rest.

This incident serves as a reminder of the health impacts that demanding schedules and frequent travel can have, especially for older individuals. Zardari’s family, supporters, and medical team are optimistic that the former president will recover fully with the prescribed rest and care.
