Prime Minister Announces Rs 15 billion Aid for Flood Victims in Sindh

A grant of 15 billion rupees has been announced by the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for the flood victims in Sindh. He also informed that the aid would be distributed to the deserving families in a transparent manner.

PM addressed in the ceremony in Sukkur, PM Shehbaz Sharif said that a huge destruction has been caused because of rains and floods.

Such destruction haven’t been witnessed before more than 900 people have been died and millions are displaced. This flood has surpassed the flood of 2010.

The PM also informed that there is flood situation in Balochistan, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Crops are also damaged by rains and floods. Additionally, houses are also destructed and million of people got homeless. Further, communication systems is also disturbed and livestock has suffered the worst.

Shehbaz further stated that the federal government is working together with the provinces. Moreover, 28 billion rupees has been allotted for the victims in the first phase, aids has been provided to the families.

PM said that this rain has broke the record of 40 years as it happened now. There is water everywhere, seems like river Sindh is spreading everything, but government is playing a vital role and having a satisfactory and excellent arrangements. Sindh government is working hard day and night.

Moreover, 25,000/ household is provided under BISP in Sindh and aid would be provided to the deserving households.

Further, I announced a grant of 15 billion rupees to flood victims of Sindh. Additionally, Khurram Dastagir has been directed to resolve the electricity issues.
