Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that the revolution of prosperity in Pakistan will come from the agricultural sector.
Shahbaz Sharif, while addressing the ceremony regarding Solar Tube Wells in Convention Center Islamabad, has said that farmer brothers work hard and produce food for the country.
Today this country needs cheap electricity, without cheap electricity, industry and agriculture cannot develop, without cheap electricity there can be no development in exports, generating cheap electricity is the first duty of any government. Immense efforts have been made for affordable electricity for every class.
The Prime Minister said that the situation and political chaos in the country, there was uncertainty about the IMF, if there was no IMF program, the country would have defaulted. The conditions of the IMF program are very strict, I don’t know what difficulties the people would have faced if the IMF program had not been given, if the country had defaulted, it would have been a disastrous situation.
He said that for the improvement of agriculture, cheap electricity, quality fertilizers will have to be given, those who use up to 200 units are given electricity at a low price, when farmers were given subsidies on electricity, the IMF stopped it and tied their hands.
President Muslim League-N had said that the IMF declare that industry, agriculture sector will not be given subsidies, solar energy is necessary not only for tubewells but also for houses and shops, solar energy is not only for tubewells but houses and shops.
He said that today the most expensive electricity is generated from oil, cheap electricity is generated from water, wind and solar systems, under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif, the darkness of load shedding has been removed. Without solar energy, there is no plan for the development of Pakistan.
This is a revolutionary step towards a solar system without which development is not possible, political leadership should have taken decisions decades ago.
The Prime Minister said that the delegation of Saudi Arabia has been asked to invest in Diamer Bhasha Dam, 14 to 15 billion dollars should be invested in Diamer Bhasha Dam, water storage and 4 thousand megawatts of electricity will be created in Diamer Bhasha Dam. The foundation of Diamer Bhasha Dam was laid during this period.
There are coal deposits in Thar which were neglected for 75 years, coal was extracted from Thar during CPEC, 2 to 2500 megawatts of electricity has started to be generated under CPEC.
He asked why this mistake was made by the previous governments. We imported billions of dollars worth of coal and oil but did not extract our reserves. Today Pakistan is calling us and saying where is the dream of Quaid-e-Azam? We will bring an agricultural revolution and get rid of debt.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif further said that tomorrow I am writing to the president to dissolve the assembly.
