Prisoner Earning Millions of Rupees from Karachi Jail, Here’s How

Inside the confines of Karachi Central Prison, an inspiring story of Muhammad Ejaz unfolds, highlighting the resilience of inmates who have lost their freedom for various reasons.

Muhammad Ejaz, a forty years old man, despite serving a 25-year sentence under section 365c of the Code of Criminal Procedure, has transformed into a recognized artist and earns huge amounts of money within the boundaries of prison.

Ejaz embarked on his artistic journey during his second year of imprisonment in 2014. He began taking painting and embroidery lessons, gradually mastering his skills. Over the course of a few years, he pioneered painting and embroidery resulting in the creation of captivating 3D paintings.

Reflecting on his journey, Ejaz shared that he generated approximately Rs. 4 million by selling his art at various local and global exhibitions. He further revealed that he recently achieved remarkable sales, with two of his paintings fetching $350 (PKR 106,113.88) and $950 (PKR 288,023.38) respectively.

Moreover, the prison administration does not interfere with the proceeds, allowing Ejaz to support both his family and prison-related expenses through his artistic endeavors.

Despite earning huge money, Ejaz emphasized that nothing can compare to the desire of freedom as he yearns for his liberation deeply.
