According to reports, Cyclone Bipper Joy will reach Katy Bandar today as it approaches Pakistan from the Arabian Sea.
Cyclone Biparjoy is predicted to bring heavy rain to Hyderabad and Karachi today and tomorrow.
The Meteorological Department predicts that till June 16 Tando Mohammad Khan, Tandwala Yar, Mirpurkhas, Hub, and Lasbela may also suffer heavy rainfall and winds of 80 km/h.
On the other side, trees fell at numerous locations, electrical cables were destroyed, and most areas’ electricity supply was suspended in Mirpurkhas as a result of strong, dusty winds.
What needs to be taken care of when it rains?
Managing medications, drinking water, and dry objects. Avoid touching wet electrical equipment. Keeping phones and other gadgets charged. Stay at home and keep a tight check on the kids; don’t leave the house unnecessarily. Avoid touching wet electronics and any downed wires on the ground, and stay away from electric poles and fallen wires in particular because they pose a serious risk to your safety. Stay away from drains and open drains. Unplug all of the home’s electrical appliances because there is a risk of short circuit owing to this season’s low and occasionally high voltage. Avoid residing in decaying homes prior to the rains. If you have any sacrificed animals in your home, take them to a secure location with a covered enclosure and pay attention to the weather.
As a result of the storm, Kati Bandar is still experiencing torrential rains, severe gusts, and falling poles in addition to the shop sheets being blown away.
