The HBL Pakistan Super League begins today, February 13, with the Multan Sultans, winners of the 2021 edition and finalists in the previous one, hosting title-defender Lahore Qalandars at Multan Cricket Stadium.
The Pakistan Cricket Board, in a continuation of its tradition, has lined up a glittering opening ceremony. The cricket fans in Multan and all around the world will see spectacular performances by different artists, and one of the major attractions will be the performances of the singers of the HBL PSL 8 anthem: Abdullah Siddiqui, Asim Azhar, Faris Shafi, and Shae Gill.
In addition to the star-studded lineup, fans will be treated to performances by famous music composer Sahir Ali Bagga and outstanding singer Aima Baig, making the opening ceremony an unforgettable event.
The Multan Cricket Stadium’s gates opened at 2:00 p.m. for the HBL PSL 8 opening ceremony and the start of the tournament. PCB has urged ticket holders to attend early in order to take their seats and avoid overcrowding. The match between Qalandars and Sultans will begin at 8 p.m. after an outstanding and groundbreaking opening ceremony.
