The Pakistan Telecom Authority (PTA) has recently restored TikTok’s services, stating that the Platform guarantees immoral and indecent content will be controlled.

In light of the assurances, the Authority has decided to withdraw the TikTok ban immediately. However, PTA will continue to monitor the platform to ensure that no illegal content that violates Pakistani law or societal values is spread.

Users who are repeatedly implicated in posting illegal content will be blocked from utilizing the social media platform, as per the company.

Earlier, as a result of the platform’s ongoing engagement, senior management assured PTA that it will take the required steps to restrict illegal content in accordance with local laws and community standards.
