Punjab Approves Signal-free Corridor to Connect Lahore’s Gulberg to Islamabad Motorway.

The government has approved a huge development project in the capital city to build a signal-free corridor connecting the Gulberg region to the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway.

The project, which is expected to cost Rs61 billion, will aid in alleviating traffic congestion in Lahore, where the population is growing. The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) will be in charge of it

The development of the 10.77-kilometer-long signal-free route is anticipated to begin this year, and it will be used by approximately 73,000 vehicles per day.

According to Zameen.com, the corridor is divided into three portions, with stretch-A comprising 4.28 kilometres, stretch-B 2.13 kilometres, and stretch-C 4.36 kilometres.

The section A would run from Babu Sabu to Multan Road, while the stretch B will stop at LOS Road. The stretch-C will connect Ferozepur Road to Gulberg’s Main Boulevard.
