Punjab Govt Approves Rs 3.44 Billion for Model Bazaars in 13 Districts

The Punjab Provincial Cabinet has approved Rs3.44 billion to build Model Bazaars in 13 districts. This step aims to provide economic relief and support local communities.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz emphasized the importance of these bazaars in offering essential goods at affordable prices, creating jobs, and supporting small businesses. With low rents starting at Rs10,000, the initiative makes it easier for small business owners to grow and succeed.

Currently, 36 bazaars are running in 24 districts, and the government plans to open more in the future. These bazaars are part of a larger effort to improve access to daily necessities while promoting entrepreneurship.

The Model Bazaars project reflects Punjab’s commitment to helping citizens by creating opportunities for small businesses and ensuring people can buy goods at reasonable prices. It also aims to boost economic inclusivity and improve livelihoods across the province.

By expanding these markets, the government is taking a practical step toward supporting communities, empowering individuals, and reducing economic stress. The initiative highlights the province’s focus on sustainable growth and social welfare.

This project is a clear example of how targeted investments can benefit both businesses and the general public, bringing long-term economic and social benefits to the region.
