According to the data, the district government banned all fireworks due to the growing pollution condition in the province capital. The Punjab government also denied all applications for permission to launch fireworks on New Year’s Eve.

As a result of security concerns and omicron covid variant cases, the district administration prohibited public concerts and other gatherings.
