To help reduce traffic accidents, Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi established the Provincial Task Force for Road Safety.
In accordance with the task force’s recommendations, a thorough action plan will be created. Also, swift measures will be taken to ensure public safety while also preventing traffic accidents.
The task force, will be led by Provincial Minister Basharat Raja. It will include the chief secretary, inspector general of police, assistant chief secretary (home), traffic, and other officers, will draught legislation in this respect.
The promotion of environmentally friendly electric bikes was agreed upon in principle at a conference. The chief minister presided over to examine road safety measures and reduce pollution in the province.
