Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Chief Minister of Punjab, made an important decision on Monday regarding the urban transport system.
She approved funds to add 630 new public buses to cities like Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan, Faisalabad, and Bahawalpur. These buses are expected to improve transportation services for people living in these cities.
The decision was made during a meeting of the Cabinet Standing Committee on Finance and Development.
Many important people attended this meeting, including Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Finance Minister Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, Senator Pervez Rasheed, the Chief Secretary, the Inspector General (IG) Punjab, Chairman P&D, and several Secretaries like Finance, Local Government, and Information. They discussed and approved the plan to add more buses to the public transport system, which will benefit many people in Punjab.
