Thanking opposition to play its role, CM Punjab announced on Wednesday, the establishment of a new administrative division of Lahore city.
While speaking to the Punjab Assembly on Wednesday, the chief minister of Punjab stated the decision to divide Lahore for administrative reasons has been taken in order to enhance the supply of civic amenities and services you would expect from the capital city.
Usman buzdar denied the thought that his Govt was ignoring Lahore. He said that a sum of Rs86 billion had been allocated for the province’s capital the current year, more than the distribution made for the Orange Line train.
He further added that River Ravi City Scheme would be a game-changer in urban development, even though the government had established a 600-bed Ganga Ram Mother & Child Hospital, and besides Gulab Devi & Lal Shehbaz passageways in the city. A new state-of-the-art bus station at Thokar Niaz Beg was also on the agenda.
He also said that it is for the first time happened that the budget for south Punjab was set separately & claimed that Punjab was the only unit achieving surplus tax revenue.
