Qazi Jamilur Rehman who is a B-20 officer has recently appointed as the IG of Islamabad. As per government notification, previously he was working under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s government. Now he will be working under Punjab’s government. The new IG, Qazi Rehman has also served as the Hazara DIG, the Peshawar city police chief, and also as a Special Branch DIG.
He has replaced Mr Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan, who took the charge of this position in November, 2018 and his new post has soon to be announced. His transfer comes recently just after few days of news about young man’s killing, it appeared on January 2 when the Islamabad police personnel unfortunately opened the fire at the man for not stopping his car and killed the person near Sector G-10.
