The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025 have included more than 2,000 universities from 115 countries, marking a 9.7% increase in ranked institutions compared to the previous year. This is the largest growth in the past five years.
Pakistan has 47 universities in the rankings, making it the 14th most-represented country worldwide. It shares this position with Taiwan. Quaid-i-Azam University continues to lead in Pakistan, staying in the 401-500 range, just like last year.
This recognition shows that Pakistani universities are gaining more attention on the global stage, reflecting the country’s progress in higher education.
