The income of Pakistan Railway has increased by roughly Rs1,063.8 million from Rs47,587.9 million in 2019-20 to Rs48,651.7 million in 2020-21.
“Pakistan Railways earned Rs48,651.7 million in 2020-21, compared to Rs47,587.9 million in 2019-20,” a state-run news agency reported.
According to the official, Pakistan Railways’ operating expenses will be Rs95,883.8 million in 2020-21, down from Rs97,740.4 million in 2019-20. The Auditor General of Pakistan had audited Pakistan Railways’ accounts for the financial years 2018-19 and 2019-20, he added (AGP). Similarly, he noted, the accounts for the fiscal year 2020-21 would be audited by the same authority.
