The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted a mix of weather conditions across the country in the coming days. While most parts will continue to face intense heat, several regions are likely to receive rain and thunderstorms, bringing some relief from the ongoing heatwave.
According to the latest forecast, Punjab will remain extremely hot during the day, but isolated rain and thunderstorms may occur in cities including Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Sheikhupura, and surrounding areas. Islamabad is expected to experience very hot daytime temperatures followed by possible rain with strong winds during the night.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, most districts will stay hot and dry, though light rain is possible in some upper regions. Sindh and Balochistan are likely to continue facing severe heat, with temperatures possibly crossing 45°C in several areas.
The expected rain in northern and central Punjab, along with parts of Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, will provide much-needed relief from the scorching heat. However, the rain may also bring strong winds and lightning in some places.
Authorities have advised citizens to stay hydrated, avoid direct sunlight during peak hours, and take extra care of children and the elderly. People in rain-affected areas should be careful of slippery roads and possible power outages. Farmers have been asked to secure their crops and livestock.
The PMD has urged the public to stay updated with the latest weather alerts.
