Release of Honor V40 Postponed until 22 January

Originally, the Honor V40 was scheduled to release next week on January 18, but instead, the launch date has now been pushed back to January 22. Honor confirmed the Weibo delay and also disclosed that it was caused by problems with “conference venue and equipment.”

The launch event will now take place at 7 a.m. PST on January 22, and the phone will go on sale the same day as well. A new poster showing the handset in three different colours, including blue, black, and peach, was also shared by the company.

There will be a curved display and a dual punch-hole selfie camera in the corner of the front of the handset. A 6.72-inch OLED screen with a 1080p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate will be shown. 300Hz would be the touch sampling rate.

The humongous camera setup on the rear will include a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a laser autofocus sensor. the most sensor may be a 1/1.5x-inch Sony IMX7XX lens. the most chipset goes to be MediaTek’s Dimensity 1000+ SoC.

For 66W fast charging as well as wireless charging, the 4,000 mAh battery will have support. There is no word on the power level for wireless charging.
