Dubai-based businessman Umar Farooq Zahoor has claimed that he bought an expensive Graff wristwatch from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government. The watch was reportedly gifted to former Prime Minister Imran Khan by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman and was sold for $2 million in 2019.
Zahoor showed the watch as proof of ownership, saying he bought it from a close friend of Imran Khan’s wife, Farah Gogi. He mentioned that he is willing to return the watch to the State of Pakistan’s Toshakhana if asked.
The watch is described as a Diamond MasterGraff Tourbillon Minute Repeater with Makkah Map Dial GM2751. Zahoor claimed that it was a limited edition piece and very rare.
While Zahoor insists on the watch’s authenticity, former adviser Mirza Shahzad Akbar denies his involvement in the sale, and Farah Gogi has not commented on the matter.
