Rescue 1122 teams in Rawalpindi and Islamabad are now on high alert as heavy rainfall is expected to hit the twin cities starting from July 22. To handle any possible emergencies, Rescue 1122 has cancelled all staff holidays and announced a Code Red in Rawalpindi.
Extra emergency teams have been sent to low-lying and flood-prone areas. These teams have been provided with all the necessary tools, such as plastic rescue boats, heavy machinery, and flood response equipment to deal with rising water levels or sudden floods.
To make sure everyone is ready, Rescue 1122 has also carried out drills so that staff know what to do if there is a flood. Besides this, local community emergency response teams have been activated and trained to help during rescue and relief work. These teams will work with Rescue 1122 to reach affected areas quickly and help people who may get stuck or need medical care.
Rescue 1122 has said that they have made all the needed plans and arrangements to handle any crisis that may come with the heavy rains. Officials are also asking people to stay updated with weather warnings and follow safety advice during the downpour.
Citizens living in low-lying areas are advised to stay prepared, keep emergency numbers handy, and move to safer places if the water level rises. With teamwork, proper planning, and quick action, Rescue 1122 aims to keep people safe during this period of heavy rain and possible floods.
