Rizwan has turned Khushdil into a World-class Spin Bowling Option.

HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been full of shocks in the past, with bowlers winning matches with the bat and batsmen demonstrating their bowling abilities.

Multan Sultans have been playing world-class cricket, winning four of their four HBL PSL 7 matches. The players are brilliantly complimenting each other, and Mohammad Rizwan has made game-winning decisions.

Making part-timer Khushdil Shah a frontline option was one of the measures that favoured the Sultans.

Surprisingly, the left-arm orthodox spinner is the tournament’s leading wicket-taker, and he has provided Rizwan with consistency in the middle overs. Khushdil has bowled 12 overs with an economy of 6.08 in four matches.

He has nine wickets and the best tournament stats of 4/35.

Multan Sultans’ management is primarily reliant on data, and putting Khushdil at the helm versus Quetta Gladiators was a brilliant move. He was able to oust Will Smeed and Ahsan Ali, who were the Gladiators’ constants at the top in the first two sets, with partnerships of 155 and 76.
