A jewellery store in Lahore’s Sundar neighbourhood was the target of an audacious heist by a squad of dacoits. The robbers grabbed an incredible Rs. 50 million worth of cash and gold while holding the staff and customers at gunpoint.
Cash totaling Rs. 3.2 million was among the stolen goods, while the shop’s remaining gold, valued at Rs. 47.8 million, was also seized. The dacoits fled the area after the robbery, and a case was promptly filed against them. The police have opened an inquiry into the event and are looking for those responsible right now.
A statement from police officials condemning the crime and promising the public that they are working to bring the offenders to justice has also been released. Anyone with information on the crime is being requested by the police to come forward and assist with the investigation.
