Rs 27.8 Billion Worth Project Of Sialkot-Kharian Motorway Project Approved By Govt. Under Public-Private Partnership.

27.8 billion rupees Sialkot-Kharian Motorway project signed by the board of directors of the Public-Private Partnership. Asad Umar, the planning minister of Pakistan said that this project is first of its kind under innovative transaction structure, in development financing it is a major step.

Asad Umar tweeted as well, “signed a $27.8 billion rupees project of Sialkot-Kharian motorway project and chaired the P3A authority board. This project will be the first to use VGF under the usage of innovative financial structure, it will lead to opening of new major development financing instrument. Total one trillion rupees of pipeline project.”

On PPP basis the P3A board considered approval of the PPP agreement of the motorway. It will have a 69 KM long four-lane toll road basis at a cost of 27.8 billion rupees on a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) basis.
