On Friday, the Pakistani rupee appreciated 32 paisas against the US dollar in the interbank currency market.
The Pakistani rupee closed at Rs152.28 against the US dollar, up 32 paisas (0.21 percent) from the previous close of Rs152.60, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
The local currency has risen significantly as a result of strengthened foreign exchange reserves, current account surpluses, foreign loan receipts, and increased remittances, as well as lower dollar demand due to the ongoing pandemic.
Since its all-time low of Rs168.43 in August last year, the rupee has recovered more than Rs15 in the last seven months.
