Pakistan’s Exports Grew by 13.49% In 10 Months

According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), the country’s exports increased by 13.49 percent in the first ten months of the current fiscal year (2020-21) as compared to the same time last year.

As the data, exports totaled $20.881 billion from July to April (2020-21), compared to $18.399 billion from July to April (2019-20).

Imports rose by 17.67 percent during the evaluation period, rising from $37.992 billion last year to $44.706 billion in the first ten months of the current fiscal year.

The country’s trade deficit rose by 21.60 percent in the first ten months of this year compared to the same time last year, according to the data.

The trade deficit during the period was $23.825 billion, compared to $19.593 billion the previous year.
