Russia’s Putin reaffirms my statement that insulting Prophet (PBUH) not freedom of expression: PM Imran Khan.

According to Prime Minister Imran Khan, Russian President Vladimir Putin reinforced his remark that insulting the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) does not constitute “free expression.”

“I welcome President Putin’s remark, which reaffirms my message that disrespecting our Holy Prophet (PBUH) is not ‘free expression,'” the prime minister tweeted.

The prime minister stated that Muslims, particularly their leaders, must communicate this message to non-Muslim authorities in order to combat Islamophobia.

According to the Russian news agency TASS, Putin already stated on Thursday that insulting the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) does not constitute freedom of expression.

Putin’s remarks came during his annual press conference, during which he emphasised the need of “cultural freedom without interference with religious freedom.”
