Samsung has introduced the Bespoke Jet Bot AI Robot Vacuum Cleaner, which is intended to help with household cleaning. The robot vacuum cleaner has improved object recognition capabilities and uses artificial intelligence (AI) technology to dramatically improve efficiency.
By pre-learning over 1 million images using deep learning, the Bespoke Jet Bot AI is capable of recognizing objects at the highest level. It can recognize a variety of household appliances and furniture, including televisions, air conditioners, refrigerators, beds, sofas, and other similar products. Small items such as pet feces, gloves, electric cables, and glass cups are now recognized by the robot cleaner thanks to the changes.
Intel’s AI solution, Intel Movidius, is embedded in the Jet Bot AI, which offers excellent object recognition. Furthermore, it includes an industry-first ‘Active Stereo Camera’ form 3D sensor. From a distance of 1cm and up, the sensor can detect all obstacles.
In addition, the Samsung Jet Bot AI has two cameras that not only recognize space and objects in 3D, such as individuals, but also fire additional pattern beams. This allows for advanced obstacle detection and spatial recognition, even in cases where recognition with only the camera is difficult.
