Saudi Arabia Announces Fully Funded Scholarships for Pakistani Students

The Saudi government has announced fully-funded scholarships for Pakistani students to study at 25 of the Kingdom’s top universities at graduate, Bachelor’s, masters and doctoral levels. Students in Pakistan and KSA legal residents can apply for these scholarships.

75% of students are awarded a scholarship from Pakistan, while 25% of scholarships are awarded to Pakistani students residing in the Kingdom. Successful candidates also receive a monthly stipend and other facilities.

According to the Pakistan Higher Education Commission (HEC), scholarships were advertised in politics, law, education, management, economics, engineering, computer science, agriculture, Arabic, Islamic, and media studies.

Science students receiving scholarships receive a monthly stipend of 900 Saudi Riyals (SR) and a monthly allowance of 850 SR for humanities students.

In addition, those who secure entry into the university teams receive a round-trip ticket and accessible medical facilities. Applicants from Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) must be between the ages of 17 and 25 for the Bachelor’s program, under 30 for the Master’s program and the PhD fewer than 35 is the application portal.

Each university is only allowed to enroll 5% of international students, except Princess Noor Binte Abdul Rehman University for Girls, Riyadh and Jamia Islamia Madinah Munawara, where the scholarship percentage is 8%. Jamia Islamia Madinah Munawara will award scholarships for 85% of the total places. The scholarship includes

  • Free accommodation,
  • Three months furniture allowance upon arrival at the KSA for married fellows,
  • Round-trip ticket,
  • Free medical treatment for the student and his family if married,
  • Three-month completion grant for mailing books,
  • Subsidized food on campus,
  • Sports and leisure activities on campus, and
  • Support for dependents and travel expenses.
