Saudi Arabia Bans Performing Umrah More than Once in Ramadan

It was revealed on Saturday that conducting the Umrah more than once during the holy month of Ramadan is prohibited in Saudi Arabia.

As the country receives millions of travellers during the holy month, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has made it clear that repeat Umrah is not permitted during Ramadan. This restriction has been put in place to allow all pilgrims to conduct the rituals in comfort and convenience.

Via the Nusuk app, pilgrims can obtain an Umrah permit for the designated period of time. According to the administration, there is no option to change the Umrah date, however pilgrims can cancel their appointment using the Nusuk app before entering the permit time, at which point a fresh permit will be granted.
