The Presidency for Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah has started a major global project to share the Arafat Sermon of the Islamic year 1446 AH with people around the world. This important sermon will be translated into 35 different languages and is expected to reach more than 5 million Muslims worldwide.
This initiative is being called the largest of its kind in the history of the Presidency. It includes live translations of the sermon, online streaming, and sharing through various social media platforms to make sure it reaches as many people as possible.
The project is being led by Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, who is known for his efforts to spread messages of peace, understanding, and unity in Islam. The main goal of the initiative is to promote the values of religious moderation, tolerance, and unity among Muslims around the world.
Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Humaid, a respected religious scholar, will deliver the sermon on the Day of Arafat during the annual Hajj pilgrimage. This sermon is one of the most significant moments of Hajj, offering guidance, spiritual reflection, and reminders of Islamic teachings to millions of pilgrims and listeners across the globe.
The translation project shows Saudi Arabia’s strong dedication to using technology and communication to connect with the global Muslim community and to share important religious messages in a way that is accessible, inclusive, and meaningful to people of all languages and backgrounds.
