Saudi Arabia to establish King Salman mosque at International Islamic University- Islamabad

The IIU institute’s rector has recently told the Arab News that Saudi Arabia is all set to start constructing a mosque soon. The mosque will be named after King Salman bin Abdul Aziz in Pakistan, at the new campus of IIU- the International Islamic University, Islamabad.

Dr. Masoom Yasinzai said that “This is not going to be just a mosque; however, it will have a huge complex along with the research and cultural center for the scholars as well as students.” He further said that it will house a library also along with a museum, and also an auditorium that will be named after the Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman.

Moreover, the rector of IIU further said that the research center will focus on Arabic language and the Islamic culture along with heritage. The center of it will be equipped as with a digital technology in order to provide online Arabic courses from Islamabad to the entire world.
