Senior Player Denies Verbal Spat During Pakistan Team Meeting

A senior member of the Pakistan cricket team has denied rumors suggesting that there are problems within the team’s dressing room. Some reports in the media had said that there was a heated argument between Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam, and their top fast bowler, Shaheen Shah Afridi, after a closely contested match against Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup, which Pakistan lost on the last ball.

According to these reports, Babar Azam was not happy with the performances of some senior players, and this led to a disagreement with Shaheen Shah Afridi, who wanted Babar to acknowledge the efforts of those who had played well. Mohammad Rizwan apparently stepped in to try and resolve the situation.

However, when a senior player from the team was asked about this, they dismissed these reports and said, “Our team is fully committed to cricket, and we don’t pay attention to outside critics. Losing a match gives critics a chance to express their opinions, but these are just negative speculations.” In simpler terms, they’re saying that the team is focused on their game and not letting outside rumors affect them.
