Shahid Afridi Declined 2 Ministries offered by PM Shehbaz Sharif

The federal government recently approached former cricketer Shahid Khan Afridi with an offer to serve in two ministerial positions: the Ministry of Sports and the Ministry of Youth. The proposal was personally extended to Afridi by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Upon receiving the offer, Shahid Afridi expressed his gratitude towards Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for considering him for the roles.

He made the decision to respectfully decline the offer. Afridi explained that he is deeply committed to his foundation and wishes to focus his efforts there rather than taking on ministerial responsibilities.

“I appreciate the offer and the respect shown to me. However, I am committed to my foundation and prefer to continue my efforts in that direction,” Afridi stated in response to the government’s proposal.

Following his decision, Shahid Afridi faced criticism on social media platforms. Several leaders and supporters of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party expressed their views and opinions regarding Afridi’s choice to decline the ministerial positions.

The news of Afridi’s decision to turn down the government’s offer has sparked discussions and debates across various media platforms, with many expressing their differing views on his decision and its implications.
