Shahid Afridi, a crucial player for the Quetta Gladiators, has joined his squad after the results of his rapid antigen test (RAT) came back negative on Tuesday, according to the PSL franchise.
Gladiators manager Azam Khan said in a statement that Afridi had a rapid antigen test (RAT) at the hotel today and the findings were negative.
“Shahid Afridi has joined the squad,” he went on to say.
Azam Khan had previously stated that “if the test [of Shahid Afridi] comes back negative, he would join the team in their match against Islamabad United [planned for February 3].”
Previously, Afridi’s PCR test came out negative for the second time on Sunday.
On January 27, Afridi tested positive for COVID-19 and isolated himself at home in accordance with the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) COVID-19 regulations.
