After Azam Khan of Islamabad United’s amazing knock against Quetta Gladiators in the ongoing eighth season of the Pakistan Premier League (PSL) on Friday, former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi poured admiration on him.
Azam Khan shone as Islamabad United set Quetta Gladiators a lofty aim of 221 runs.
Azam scored 97 runs in 42 balls, including eight maximums and nine boundaries. For the fifth wicket, the wicketkeeper-batsman and Asif Ali put together an incredible 98-run partnership off just 45 balls to put their team back in the game.
Azam’s innings was praised by Afridi, also known as Boom Boom. He tweeted, “Well done Azam Khan boom boom innings, courageous.”
