Shahzaib Khan of Pakistan wins gold at the MMA championships in Asia

The Pakistani mixed martial arts fighter Shahzaib Khan has won a gold medal at the 2021 Asian MMA Championships in Kyrgyzstan, held from 24 to 28 August.

Khan, who had hailed from Sindh, finished with a defeat in the semi-finals to the Indian fighter.

In the last few minutes, the fresh blood defeated the Kyrgyz warrior and made a new record for the Southern Asian country by taking a gold medal. He was allegedly trained at the Badsha WuShu Academy by Mr. Imran Qasim.

The local community of MMA also welcomed the players.

“I saw a few tournament pictures, and Shahzaib might be really unique,” writes Facebook professional MMA player Bashir Ahmad, known as “MMA Pakistan Pedro’s Godfather.” He claimed that the MMA scene in Pakistan has a “fresh candidate to keep an eye on.”
