LAHORE: Pakistan Railways (PR) will once more run the Shalimar Express Train between Lahore and Karachi beginning on May 1, 2023.
The decision to resume this train service was taken in response to the rising demand for travel between Pakistan’s two largest cities.
Shalimar Express rates were raised by Pakistan Railways. While the AC standard ticket from Karachi to Lahore and Lahore to Karachi has been fixed at Rs5150, the economy class ticket from Lahore to Karachi has increased by Rs1000 to Rs3200.
At 6 am, the Shalimar Express will leave Karachi and Lahore simultaneously. Reservations are now being accepted by the Pakistan Railways Department.
