Shoaib Akhtar claims that PM Imran Khan, as well as the entire PTI, is on his side when it comes to his disagreement with Dr. Nauman Niaz. “Everyone is siding with me, from the government to Hollywood,” he continued, “because they are outraged at how a national symbol was humiliated during a live show.”
In response to a query about whether the state-run channel is making decisions on its own or if someone is behind the anti-Akhtar campaign, the former cricketer said he can “confidently” claim Prime Minister Imran Khan and the cabinet are behind him.
The state-owned broadcaster had previously sent Akhtar with a recovery notice for Rs103.3 million in damages for “being absent from shows during the T20 World Cup and for resigning without serving a notice period.”
Akhtar further stated that his lawyers are investigating the case’s details and that he will respond since “they have challenged the wrong person.”
