The Sindh Food Authority (SFA), Karachi sealed the popular restaurant Gul Shinwari over unhygienic conditions.
The restaurant was raided in North Nazimabad, Karachi after multiple complaints. According to the authority’s raid, the restaurant was found in poor cleaning conditions. There was no proper drainage system.
The food was being served in filthy conditions as well as the conditions in the kitchen were unacceptable. In addition, the flouting hygiene standards and utilization of meat unacceptable for human consumption are also the reasons the restaurant is sealed.
The Sindh Food Authority issued three warnings earlier to the restaurant as well. The license has been revoked and a fine of more than Rs. 1 million has been charged.
