Sindh Launches Pink EV Scooty Scheme for Female Students and Working Women

The Sindh government has introduced the Pink EV Scooty Scheme, a forward‑thinking program designed to support female students and working women by providing them with free electric scooters. The goal is to help women become more independent, improve their ability to travel safely and reliably, and participate fully in education, work, and community life across the province.

Managed by the Transport and Mass Transit Department, this scheme is available to women who have permanent residency in Sindh and are either enrolled in an educational institution or employed. To qualify, applicants need a valid driving license for a motorcycle or car and must agree not to sell or lease the scooty for a minimum of seven years. Recipients will be chosen through a transparent ballot overseen by government officials and members of the media, and successful candidates must pass a basic road safety assessment before taking delivery of their scooter.

Interested women can apply online by visiting the Sindh Mass Transit Authority’s official website. Under the “Projects” menu, they will find the “EV Scooty Ballot Form – Application Form,” which should be completed and submitted along with all required documents. The fully digital process is designed to be fair, clear, and easily accessible to all eligible applicants.
