All public and private educational institutions under the administrative control of the College Education Department shall remain closed on Wednesday, April 12, 2022, in observance of Youm-e-Ali (21st Ramadan, 1444), according to the decision of the Steering Committee meeting held on February 22, 2022, the notification stated.

On the 21st day of Ramadan, Youm-e-Ali, massive processions are held nationwide to remember Hazrat Ali’s martyrdom (RA).

Meanwhile, officials planned stern security arrangements for Yom-e-Ali. The key procession in the provincial capital will commence from Nishtar Park and will culminate at Imambargah Hussainia Kharadar.

To commemorate Hazrat Ali’s (RA) life and memory, people from Sindh, in particular, organise sizable gatherings and processions on the designated day. On the mentioned day, heavy traffic is expected due to the significant number of people on the roadways.

To successfully maintain peace and order and to help citizens avoid any inconvenience, the government has declared the specified vacation.
