Rehan Allahwala, a well-known social media influencer, has launched a new initiative called the One Laptop Per Pakistani (OLPP) project. The aim of the project is to provide laptops to every household in Pakistan on zero-interest installments of Rs. 1000 per month, with a 6 to 12-month replacement warranty. The OLPP project aims to bridge the digital divide in Pakistan, where access to technology and digital literacy is limited, especially among marginalized communities.
The project has received a major boost with the appointment of Faisal Saleem Rathod as its honorary CEO. Rathod is the Vice President of Islamic Banking and an experienced professional who has worked in the financial sector for many years. He brings his expertise to the OLPP project, which aims to follow the model of the successful Akhuwat organization that provides interest-free loans to low-income families.

Thank you for your interest in purchasing a laptop from us. We are committed to empowering Pakistani youth by providing them with Chromebook laptops to kickstart their freelancing careers.
Our laptops are available for purchase at 1000 rupees a month, for a period of 14 months. We are not charging any interest from our customers, and our expenses are covered by donations from generous supporters like you.
The Chromebook laptops come with a six-month warranty, and in the event of a malfunction, we will replace the laptop with the same or better configurations.
Please note that initially, we are offering these laptops to students of Rehan School and Social Media Incubator. From August onwards, we hope to offer these laptops to everyone, with preference given to freelancing certified students.

Donations accepted to support the OLPP project
- The OLPP project will rely on the generous donations of individuals and organizations who share its vision of a digital Pakistan.
- Donations can be made via PayPal or credit card on the Rehan Foundation website, and all donations to the OLPP project are tax-exempt in the USA.
- The project will need millions of dollars in donations to achieve its goal of providing laptops to every household in Pakistan.
- The link will be effective from Wednesday- 5th April 2023.
Application Procedure for the OLPP project
- To apply for the OLPP project, interested households can visit the rehanfoundation.com/laptop website starting from Wednesday.
- The OLPP project will initially provide chrome books to households.
- The project will make it possible for people who might not have access to laptops otherwise to have the opportunity to study, learn, and work from home.
