In Pakistan, social media sites that had been shut down for four hours on orders from the Interior Ministry, have been reopened.
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) was ordered by the federal government on Friday to suspend social media sites in the country from 11am to 3pm
The PTA has been ordered to block the services of Twitter, WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube, Telegram, and Twitter in the country, according to the ministry.
“Access to such social media applications has been temporarily limited in order to preserve public order and protection,” the PTA said.
