Sri Lanka Set Target of 131 Runs for Pakistan in 1st Test Match

On the fourth day of the first Test Match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka in Galle, Sri Lanka’s 2nd innings came to an end at 279 runs. Now Pakistan has to achieve the target of 131 runs to win the match.

Abrar Ahmed and Nauman Ali took three wickets each, leading the bowling attack for Pakistan. While Shaheen Afridi and Agha Salman secured two wickets each.

Sri Lanka’s top scorer from the first innings, Dhananjaya de Silva scored 82 runs before Pakistani bowlers dismissed the Sri Lankan team. De Silva formed an important partnership with Ramesh Mendis who scored 42 runs.

Salman dismissed Dinesh Chandimal for 28, terminating 1 60-run partnership with de Silva. Wicketkeeper-Batsman Sadeera Samarawickrama got out at 11. Abrar took the most important wicket of skipper Dimuth Karunaratne at 20.
