Stay Alert! Here’s How to Identify Fake Rs. 5,000 Currency Notes

The State Bank of Pakistan is helping people recognize real Rs 5,000 notes after concerns about fake money were raised in a Senate Standing Committee on Finance meeting.

A member, Kamil Ali Agha, showed counterfeit notes during the meeting, highlighting the problem of fake money circulating. The State Bank released a video explaining how to identify real notes to stop the spread of fake ones.

During the meeting, Deputy Governor Dr. Inayat Hussain said fake money is a global issue, giving examples of fake dollars circulating worldwide. Despite showing fake notes, concerns arose about the quality of counterfeit money.

Dr. Inayat Hussain promised better regulations to tackle the problem, and Senator Salim Mandviwala urged the State Bank to take strong action.
