Apply to Canadian University
The first step is to apply at a university on a scholarship or get admission as DLI status on self-finance. DLI is Designated Learning Institution. Find out the list of universities from the DLI list and apply for the undergraduate or graduate course you wish to study.
The applicants will have to apply at a university through their online portal, if succeeded they will be provided with an admission letter which is important to apply for the visa.
Canadian Study Visa
To apply for a Canadian study visa, follow the below-mentioned steps.
- You must have the acceptance letter from an approved DLI university.
- Register yourself at the IRCC portal to apply for a study visa application.
- The fee for the visa application is $150. In case of resumption of studies in Canada (CIC) the application fee is $350.
- Get your medical form done as per IME guidelines.
- The time period for a normal study visa is 90 days while for SDS is 20 days.
Documents Required
The following documents are required to apply for the visa.
- Admission letter from the university.
- Scholarship award letter (in case you have been awarded any scholarship).
- IME-based medical examination form.
- Two passport-size photographs.
- Bank statement (not required in case of scholarship).
The applicants will also have to do the biometrics at the embassy in their hometown.
Applicants who are married can also apply for the spouse visa and for children (under 18). In addition, the spouse visa can work in Canada as well.
