Survey Shows 68% Young Pakistanis Want to Stay in Country

According to a British Council survey report released on Friday, 73 percent of Pakistan’s young population said they were optimistic about the future and expected to live better lives in the years to come, while 68 percent said they were willing to stay in the country despite the current economic and political instability.

Following a swift reduction in its foreign currency reserves, which also put pressure on its national currency, Pakistan has been dealing with difficult economic issues amid rising political unrest.

Data produced by the Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment indicated that more than 800,000 Pakistanis departed their nation in 2022 to accept jobs abroad, according to a Reuters story from last month.
