At the World Robotics Conference 2025 in Beijing, experts from around the world shared their thoughts on the rapid development of China’s robotics industry.
Raphael Loridan from France, Brand Development Specialist at Shanghai-based OYMotion, said the industry’s growth is so fast that it is almost unbelievable, yet it is very real.
He explained that OYMotion focuses on researching and developing human bioelectric sensing technology and intelligent rehabilitation equipment. “We started from neuroscience, helping people who have lost hand function by providing neurological rehabilitation support,” Loridan said. “Now we are also creating advanced robotic hands. Our next generation of products will have more sensors and operate faster than the ones we are showing today.”
Dutch industrial engineer Robert Potts, who also attended the conference, shared his admiration for the technologies on display. “It’s very unique, and I am impressed by what I see here,” he said.
Potts believes China is one of the top three countries in the world when it comes to robotics. “What you have already achieved is remarkable, and I think you will become the biggest player in robotics as well,” he added. “I have my own robotics company, so there is every reason for me to come here and learn from what is happening.”
The conference highlighted how China’s robotics sector is attracting global attention for its innovation, speed of progress, and groundbreaking applications in both industry and healthcare.
