Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced two stadiums for hosting Asia Cup 2023 for hybrid mode. As the decision about Pakistan’s involvement in Asia Cup is still on the knife-edge, we certainly know the venues.
Reported by Geo News, Gaddafi Stadium Lahore and Dubai International Stadium will witness one of the greatest tournaments, Asia Cup 2023.
As per the proposition, the initial phase of the hybrid mode given by PCB, will be held in Ghaddafi Stadium Lahore which includes four matches. The remaining matches will be held in Dubai International Stadium.
The hybrid mode was proposed after security concerns put forward by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), refusing to send their team in Pakistan. As PCB has put in a lot of efforts to reinstate the international cricket in Pakistan, they presented a hybrid mode.
However, the final decision about the acceptance of hybrid mode for Asia Cup 2023 is still not confirmed, PCB has declared the venues and is optimistic that they can sell more tickets in Dubai in comparison to Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
