Japanese Scientists Successfully Created an MRI Machine that can Record your Dreams and Reconstruct them for you to Watch While You’re Awake

Japan has become a hub of technology, from their bullet trains to now developing devices that can read your dreams, you will be astonished by their technological advancement and futuristic approaches.

The Japanese scientists have used the MRI machine technology (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) for recording your dreams and then converting them to related images / videos subsequently, so you can watch it.

MRI machines are usually used for whole body examination in cases of brain damage, stroke, cancers, spinal cord injury, any eye injury, and others. The machine works on the principle of using strong magnets that produce a powerful magnetic field and radiofrequency current to visualize the internal organs.

When a magnetic field is applied the protons in the body align them in its direction. Upon radiofrequency current the protons spin out of the equilibrium and release the energy which is recorded by the sensors installed in the machine. The recorded energy is used to construct an image.

So how does it work to record the dreams of a person?

The machine records the brain activity while a person is sleeping. The data obtained is processed by algorithms integrated in the systems that reconstruct the dream.

The scientists also claim that the technology still needs improvement as the accuracy achieved is only 60%. However, this breakthrough can be one of the greatest achievements and can be used for further exploiting the brain circuits still not understood.
